On May 15th, 2014 the Darin Wainscott Memorial gave a Love Offering of $1,000 to Scott and Denise Ridings to help with Denise’s fight against Leukemia. Scott and his father run the rehab department at Bates County Memorial Hospital. Pictured (left to right) Garrett Wainscott, Scott Ridings, Annie Wainscott.

The second recipient of a Giving Fore Living Love Offering were the Butler Bear Backers, a group that supports the athletes of Butler High School. Darin was a sports advocate and spent many Friday nights watching his nephew and son playing football. He also played football at Butler from 1984-1988 at the Deaton Thomas Field. He was a board member that helped design the new sports complex for the Butler High School. It seemed very fitting to donate the benches for the players in his name.
The first recipient of a Giving Fore Living Love Offering was Brice Eidson, the 12-year-old son of Richie and Tina Eidson of Ballard, Missouri. Brice was born a fighter when he entered the world 11 weeks early and weighed only 2 pounds 3 ounces. From that day on, he had learned that hurdles can be crossed and staying positive brings hope. However, on October 17, 2012, Brice’s life changed when he was diagnosed with biphenotypic leukemia, which meant he has both ALL and AML types of leukemia (rare form of leukemia). He started treatment immediately after being diagnosed and his treatment plan is designed to have him receiving chemotherapy through February 2016.
